Grated apples dessert with thickened milk

Difficulty: Easy

Ingredients

  • 1 liter full fat milk
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1½-2 grated apples (big shreds)
  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon (optional)
  • Optional garnish: slivered almonds, and silver leaf (chandi ka varaq)

Directions

Boil milk and add sugar. Reduce until it is a little less than half of its original volume. Consistency should resemble thick kheer.

Turn stove off and cool completely. Once it is room temperature, add one and half to two grated apples depending on the size of the apples.

Refrigerate till chilled. Garnish if you wish.
