Chocolate Chunk Macaroons

Servings: 20 pieces Difficulty: Easy

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup castor sugar
  • 2½ cups unsweetened shredded coconut
  • 2 large egg whites
  • ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chunks
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt

Directions

Pre-heat oven to 350F. Line baking sheet with parchment paper or use silicone mat.

Combine all ingredients in large bowl, and use hands to mix well.

Moisten hands with cold water. Form ½ tablespoon of mixture into loose haystack shape, 1” apart.

Bake till golden brown, 15-20 minutes.

Let cool slightly. Serve warm on baking sheet or let cool completely and put in airtight container up to 3 days.
